The client is one of the largest fruit and vegetable producing companies in the Netherlands, is implementing an important strategic project with a new citrus sorting line. The quality and capabilities of this new line are exceptional, setting a high bar for achieving both qualitative and quantitative results. To optimally prepare employees for their roles in the Citrus sorting line, they are investing in effective, modern training programs.
Key challenges include:
Achieving the desired results requires employees to be well-prepared and highly competent.
As an employer, the company values helping employees in their development, being transparent about expectations, and making learning and working at the company attractive.
After a general introduction to the company, employees need functional onboarding to understand everything required to work safely and effectively on the Citrus sorting line. This project focused on functional onboarding, but also contained some general knowledge about the company and the safety and food safety guidelines.
The total duration of the eLearning modules is 30 minutes.
Learning Environment for Citrus sorting line employees:
Project Goal
The project's main aim is to create a professional program to properly prepare new employees for the Citrus sorting line, giving them uniformly the necessary knowledge.
We developed a comprehensive eLearning module with the following components and features:
1. eLearning Course
The course consists of several chapters:
2. Time-efficient learning
The module is designed to be completed within 30 minutes, ensuring that employees can quickly and effectively gain the necessary knowledge.
3. Engaging interactivities
To enhance engagement, the module includes various interactive elements, such as exercises focused on recognizing safety risks and preventing them.
4. Language level b1
We applied language level b1, accommodating the target audience's characteristics for better comprehension.
5. Workplace videos
We recorded workplace videos featuring an actress, managers, and team members. These videos cover different topics, including the importance of quality for clients like Albert Heijn and Delhaize.
6. 2D Animation
An animation was created to explain how the sorting line works, providing a clear visual understanding of the process.
7. Interactive sorting mini-game
The module includes an interactive mini-game where learners manually sort out bad citrus fruits from the line, helping them learn to distinguish between good and bad products.
8. Superviser instructions
We provided detailed instructions for managers and buddies on how to train and supervise operators, including guidance on effectively using the new eLearning module.
This comprehensive solution ensures that new employees are well-prepared to work on the Citrus sorting line, understand the importance of quality and safety, and are confident in their roles from day one.
This program was the first comprehensive educational initiative developed specifically for sorting line operators at the company.
The client was highly satisfied with the quality and creative approach of the eLearning module and animation, which they also used separately. All new employees starting on the Citrus sorting line now begin their training with this eLearning module, ensuring a consistent and effective onboarding experience.
The eLearning program was initially used for internal employees and was later expanded to include external employees as well.
After this onboarding program's success, we were entrusted with developing an additional functional training for operators.
